Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Journal Entry: Tue Jun 30, 2009, 12:41 AM

Long live Prime

Ok.... the hot buzz currently in the journals is the new TF movie. Now I'm going to speak my mind and if I get any flamers or shit like that, you will pay. These are my thoughts, I'm allowed to voice them.

First off, to those of you who are complaining that both movies are not sticking to the original cartoon, for any reason, you need to grow up. If you grew up with the G1 like I did, I can see where some takes on the movies can be hard to swallow. Jazz's death, I liked Jazz just as much as anyone else. His death brought tears to my eyes when I watched the first movie. It was sad, but we move on, that is life for both robots and humans. As for him being all mofo, remember people, they learned about earth by the internet. There are going to be somethings that stick more then others. Jazz has always been the cool cat, it wasn't that surprising he turned out the way he did. In fact, if you look at it from today's culture, he was the same. Just more adult, thats right, adult.

Michael Bay did not ruine anything, he just brought Transformers into a more adult standing. Some of us went into that movie, thinking it was going to be like the cartoon. I'm sorry it didn't turn out that way, but frankly I think the movie would have been a little to boring if it had. Stop looking at through childern's eyes. Most of you by now are in your 20's, or getting there. I'm such a TF fan, my friends where waiting for me to break down crying during the second movie when Prime died. Its bad when they're waiting for it.

So in sum, the movies where made for fan's more adult minds. If they had been more like the cartoons, I'm pretty sure you would have been bored just a little. Granted, there where so many other things wrong with the second movie, but they where funny. I give both TF movies two big thumbs up and say any TF's fan should see them. And if you like them or not is up to you.

Thank you
